We’ll go with you

53% of the population will take a trip this Easter. The majority will stay in Spain, but one in three will travel abroad. We always recommend taking out a good travel insurance policy especially when travelling to foreign countries.

It is very important to bear the cost of healthcare in mind, especially when it is not included in your passport: a mere scan can cost you € 880 in the USA, € 653 in New Zealand and € 250 in Holland. And on that trip to New York you were so looking forward to: what if you suddenly feel dizzy and don’t know what to do? You go to the outpatient ward and they give you an MRI scan – € 1,023 – but since there is no clear diagnosis you are hospitalised for two days under observation… and a bill for € 3,836 per day.

What is Travel Insurance?

The usual coverage under these policies includes health care with medical expenses, pharmaceuticals, hospitalisation, surgical operations, mobility, repatriation, etc. In fact, of all claims made under these policies, 77% are associated with medical expenses abroad.

Loss or theft of luggage with compensation for loss, theft or damage during transport are also common claims.

There are even policies that cover delays due to causes beyond your control, civil liability and legal defence in foreign countries.

And cancellation coverage is often very useful. The reasons accepted include illness, accidents, death of the policyholder or close relatives, serious surgical operations, etc.

Enjoy your free time, enjoy your holidays and wherever you go, whatever you do “make sure you insure”.
